Re: Proposed Parts List for Model 19 Crossover

Revised parts list with inductor part numbers

All part numbers are from Parts Express unless otherwise noted.

    Revised 9-14-16

Capacitors: Solen or Jantzen (C4 is a Jantzen, no close value in a Solens)

    C1 8mfd---8.2mfd PN: 027-564 $6.73 each
    C2 16mfd---16mfd PN: 027-578 $9.29 each
C3 21mfd---11mfd PN: 027-571 $7.94 each Note: To get 21 mfd, use both the 10 and 11 mfd wired in parralell.
    10mfd PN: 027-568 $7.50 each
    C4 6mfd---6.2mfd PN: 027-558 $4.73

Inductors: L1 and L3 are Solen Perfect Lay 1% Purchase from Madisound Speaker

    L1 0.3mH----0.33mH 14AWG $10.90 PN: PL.33

    L3 0.77mH--0.75mH 14AWG $16.10 PN: PL.75 Note: 0.77mH is not a stock component.

    L2 2.7mh Erse Iron Core inductor 16AWG $20.81 PN: 266-910

Resistors: R2,4,5,6 are non inductive resistors, Dayton Brand

    R1 + R3 8ohm L-Pad----8ohm, 100 Watt PN: 260-262 $12.95 each (includes knob, hardware and plate)
    R2 + R4 3.9 ohm, 10 Watt---4.0 ohm, 10 Watt PN: 004-4 $1.38 each (could not find 3.9 ohm)
    R5 2ohm, 10 Watt------2.0 ohm, 10 Watt PN: 004-2 $1.38 each
    R6 3ohm, 10 Watt------3.0 ohm, 10 Watt PN: 004-3 $1.38 each

    Note: R1 is a 8 ohm L-Pad, R3 is a 35 ohm L-Pad. Having trouble finding the 35 ohm L-Pad. Any ideas?

On Edit: I remember reading that some people remove the L-Pads and replace them with 10Watt resistors. Does anyone know the value typically substituted for R3? I may be able to get away with a smaller value for R3

Ok, found 2 post indicating that R3 was subbed out for a 10Watt 10 ohm resistor.
Parts Express makes a 16 ohm 100Watt L-Pad, $12.95, PN: 260-261 that may work fine. It matches the other L-Pad as well.
